The Bury St Edmunds Islamic Cultural Organisation (BICO) is a not-for-profit organisation based in the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, West Suffolk.
The Charity was formed in February 2014, emerging from the old remnants of the Suffolk Muslim Association. Our aim was to create an organisation that would advance and cultivate the spiritual growth of the community.
From this platform, we seek to provide a range of services for local Muslims and to act as a voice for a small group of worshipers to engage within the wider community of Bury St Edmunds & West Suffolk.
We are a multi-cultural organisation that reflects the diversity of living in modern-day Britain:
-
We believe in putting people first and serving all communities, irrespective of faith, gender and ethnicity.
-
We are for social inclusion.
-
We are for education.
-
We are for respect.
-
We are for building a tolerant and stronger Britain.
Please Note: We currently hold worship on Friday's at the Quaker Meeting House (St John's St, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1SJ).
The Khutba (Sermon) begins at 1:00pm. Please get in touch with regards to children's classes & the ladies group.
